I spent an evening playing with some geometry, watching alternating rows of boxes interact with each other, as I tweaked their spacing and rotations.

It’s easy for me to work this out with my real-time system, and easy to come up with dozens of variations in a short amount of time. Here’s a gallery of some animated gifs from that evening of exploration.
